Lovebirds Behavior and Training

First off in the Lovebirds behavior and training list, Lovebirds need constant interaction, it may be with a human being such as you, or interaction with other Lovebirds. Lovebirds can be easily bored and stressed for they are socially active creatures. They love to snuggle and cuddle amongst each other. They also often preen their favorite people. They sometimes want to be with their owner most of the time, and sometimes they can be pretty jealous, that other family member can be a victim of your jealous Lovebird aggression. Every creature comes with their own temperaments and personality.

They can be very interactive to their owner that oftentimes, when they are comfortable, they are willing to rest on the finger or the shoulder of their owner. Lovebird’s behavior can be sometimes outrageous, but mind you it depends on how you treat and how you give your lovebirds training.

Lovebirds are a curious, intelligent, and playful creature. They love to play, fly round and round, and chew things. You should make sure that this list of thing are in your Lovebird’s behavior and training list. A spacious place for a spacious cage, lots of toys to play with, and things to chew like, fresh willow or oak branches, they can also munch on corn place it near a sunny platform – for satisfying a natural behavior.

You have to give your lovebirds a proper training especially with the foods their eating. You have to make sure they eat healthy and nutritious foods. Lovebirds can also be trained to whistle or talk, though birds rarely talk they, Lovebirds can be train at an early age. Another odd additional to our cuddly, lovable Lovebird’s behavior is paper shredding. Female lovebirds often tuck the strips of the shredded papers in their rump feathers, the males do this too, but not as good as the hens, this shows their efficiency in carrying more materials needed to make a nest.

Lovebirds training with praise and good behavior can be effective in eliminating bad habits. A well-trained Lovebird will be a very good companion. Letting your Lovebirds sit on your finger or shoulder is also a product of Lovebirds training. You can also train your lovebirds to do simple tricks like their relative the Parrot. But you have to keep in mind that Lovebirds training is not an easy feat, it requires patience and time. You must really be careful in doing this, your Lovebirds might get scared when it sees your hand in their cage, and there’s a possibility that they will bite you.

So, make sure that all this things and probably some other further issues is in your Lovebird’s behavior and training list, to assure you of a good companionship and camaraderie with your beloved Lovebird.
